The lovely linguist, Daniela Lunetto gives us her Florida Favorites.

Name: Daniela Lunetto

Alias: Danzina: Intercultural Linguist, Health Food Enthusiast, Floridian by birth, Sicilian at heart.

Occupation: Language Facilitator by day, Hostess at Family Restaurant by night
I help people learn languages the natural way. No books. 🙂 Organically, if you will. The communicative approach is best to acquire a new language because it is how we acquire our first one.

Hobbies: Karaoke, Bollywood Movies, writing poetry to hip-hop beats

Town: Coral Springs

Recommendations for things to do in Florida for visitors:
Take a tour of Historic Fort Lauderdale; The Bonnet House and the Stranahan House
Delray Beach: Beach-side during the day and Atlantic Ave. at night. Dada’s is a fun, quirky joint there with delicious food and a one-of-a-kind ambiance. Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens!
Boca Raton Resort; Old-world Spanish/Mediterranean feel

Fave restaurant and dish/es to get there:
Thick and Thin Pizza in Boca Raton; Family-run for over 31 years. Best pizza around; Dough, sauce, & cheese! (People travel from Miami to pick up food there.) Tomato Sauce is so good, it’s drinkable. My favorite is the Chicken Francese over pasta.
Greek Islands Taverna in Ft. Lauderdale; Fresh, old-fashioned Greek food. The chicken kebab and saganaki are delightful.

Soundtrack to your life right now: Anything Marc Anthony or Amr Diab.

Three things you cannot adventure without:
An open heart, a curious mind ,and a device to snap my food with!

Blog: Nurberxo.com She’s extremely witty and intelligent beyond belief; will change the way you view life.

Adventure attire:
I get a lot of use out of my classic Adidas with the three stripes and my handy MK belt which doubles as a fanny pack. (Laughs.)
That way, my valuables stay close to my body and no schlepping around a huge bag.
Fave Florida artist: Rishona Cann. Rishonasart.com
Fave Quote: Tra il dire e il fare, cè di mezzo il mare. (proverb) There lies an ocean between saying something and then actually doing it.
Fave Drink: I’m very simple, Organic coffee, fresh Acqua Panna, and sometimes Maracuja! (Passion fruit juice)
