Vienna, Austria

This video is especially important to me for Vienna is the home of my Mother’s mothers. I visited my cousin there for one week and she took me to Melk Abbey, Amethyst Welt, the old town of Vienna, and even Salzburg (where Mozart was born). The best part of my trip was the day she took me to where my Mother lived as a little girl. Austrians, who are usually not open and friendly, welcomed me into their home and showed me very special things, such as: my Mom’s ribbon on her bedroom door that was still tied to the doorknob and clearly read “Karin’s Room” (in German), My Mom’s old Sissy doll, and a work of art (trees) painted by someone in my family. We then walked behind the house in the Vienna woods, and I was a true tree-hugger. ~ I give you… My Pilgrimage to Vienna…
