Dawn Dubruiel recently earned the front page of University Business magazine for her expertise in “instruction production” in June, 2019. In October, 2018, she presented at Digital Book World in Nashville, TN. In 2017, her book, The Five Treasures of Florida, Volume I, earned Best Book of the Year in the Exhibit or Event Companion category at the iBooks Author Conference. In 2016, her book The Medici Renaissance in Florence was a finalist for Best Book of the Year in Educational History at the iBooks Author Conference. She covered Miami’s Art Basel in 2015 and 2016 for Thalo, and also wrote many articles about local artists including Pam Hobbs of Key West. In 2013, she won the global contest for Lavazza’s The Italian Experience for her Arts & Culture video submission, on Florence. This award earned her a round trip to Italy for Perugia’s Jazz Festival complete with a room in Sangallo Palace Hotel and tickets to wonderful concerts. In 2012, she won Best Documentary from Voices in Local Film (2012) for the Palm Beach International Film Festival. Earlier in her career, she took home awards from Art Serve’s Red Eye which helped her screen two short films at the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival.
